Dr. Richard Lee

The composite injection moulding technique: Efficient smile creation

Meeting sponsored by HealthCare Essentials

In these challenging economic times being able to satisfy patients' aesthetic desires in an affordable way can be a huge bonus for your dental practice. With the advent of higher strength injectable composite materials we can utilise the wax up and the injection moulding technique to create beautiful direct anterior restorations in an efficient and cost effective way. This lecture will cover the principles of smile assessment and design along with appropriate wax up and stent creation for the injection moulding technique. We will review the materials used and illustrate the technique with case workflows.

Dr. Richard Lee spent over 20 years in practice around London's West End and on Harley Street, focusing primarily on cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentistry.

A graduate of the University of Birmingham and alumnus of the Dawson Centre for Advanced Dental Study Florida, he has lectured internationally, training dentists in the latest minimally invasive aesthetic techniques. He holds a Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry and is one of sixteen dentists in the UK to have achieved accreditation status with the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. A multi-award winning practitioner, he was the Dentist on TVs Extreme Beauty Disasters, which aired on the Discovery Network globally. He has recently relocated to Tauranga with his wife and two young children.
