Good oral health in pregnancy is integral to a woman’s overall wellbeing and quality of life. International research has shown the positive impact of oral health promotion during pregnancy by maternity care providers, resulting in increased oral health services access and improved oral health outcomes for women. Ceri will present findings from her doctoral research, investigating the involvement and requirements of New Zealand maternity care providers in oral health promotion to women during pregnancy.

Ceri is a new graduate specialist in special needs dentistry, she works both publicly and privately at Hutt Valley DHB, and Eastbourne Dental Centre.
